Three musicians have created new works based on their interactions with the Delia Derbyshire Archive at The University of Manchester and John Rylands Library in Manchester. Delia Derbyshire was a pioneering electronic musician, probably most well known for composing the Dr Who theme. Delia Darlings will premiere three new pieces of music and sound by Manchester-based musicians Caro C, Naomi Kashiwagi and Ailís Ní Ríain that will celebrate the life and work of Delia Derbyshire and will tour Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield throughout January.
