Interior of a room, man standing to the left, "James VI". This item was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. The item has been assessed by a conservator but unfortunately no remedial work is possible.

Biographical history
Donald Melvin was a student at Glasgow School of Art from 1961-1967. During his time at GSA he studied Interior Design, the History of Furniture and woodcarving as well as completing the 2nd Year General Course and a Pre-Diploma/Foundation Year.
