Biographical history
Glasgow portrait painter in oil and watercolour, also pastel and occasionally black and white; caricaturist and art critic. Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh. Known for his portraits of performing artists at the Edinburgh Festival illustrated in The Scotsman. Exhibited GI (11), including a portrait of "Sir Robert Philipson" (1978).
