BORROWING FROM OUR COLLECTION

The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) welcomes loan requests, and is committed to making its collections widely available to organisations in the UK and internationally. We lend items from our collection in order to increase access to our holdings, to promote the public benefit that can be derived from them, to increase knowledge and understanding and to support other museums and organisations. Please refer to ‘Loan for Exhibition‘ and ‘Guidelines to Support Borrowing‘ in the policies and guidelines area, which explain how to apply to borrow objects from our collection, and outline the standard procedures and conditions that lending institutions will be expected to meet for the loan to proceed.

We are happy to answer any questions relating to loans and object selection in advance of receiving a completed ‘Loan Request Form‘ (also available in the policies and guidelines area). If you would like to discuss a potential loan, please contact us at archives@gsa.ac.uk.
