Unearthed

24 MAR 2023 – 31 MAR 2023

Unearthed is an exhibition of work by Sculpture and Environmental Art students at The Glasgow School of Art.

As part of a Negotiated Project responding to GSA’s Archives and Collections, Eve Ross, Hannah Torrance and Kirsty Walker were given 8 weeks of unrestricted access to the school’s historic holdings. Seeing behind the scenes illuminated the potential for archival material in creative practice.

Through their chosen areas of interest, each artist created an individual project considering their chosen themes of decay, deconstruction, ritual, and resistance.

Unearthed opens Friday 24th March 2023 (invite only) in the Window on Heritage visitor centre in The Glasgow School of Art’s Reid Building, and is open to the public from Monday 27th March – Friday 31st March 2023, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
