Circus Horse

Framed embroidered horse includes a gold speckled frame with a black felt like background. A grey horse is stitched on to the black background with a flower on its back; numerous and colourful decorative embroidered stitches surrounding the horse. Includes a few beads and sequins in the design. Allander Framing framed the textile art.

Central to the design is a stylised female from, collaged in blue and yellow paper and shaded using black conte crayon. Backed on conservation board.

Large scale collage featuring monoprints of industrial architecture and structures. Central to the design is a male figure with monoprinted face and holding a large industrious pole. The design is painted in gouache and features purple, blue and red with charcoal used to outline shapes. Signed "Fraser Taylor". Work on paper and backed on conservation board.

Some of this material was damaged in the fire in GSA's Mackintosh Building on 23rd May 2014. Paper conservation took place in 2018. Textile conservation was completed in 2019.
